Anyone SUCCESSFULLY charge a Razor via USB?
 

Too many posts on the net and comments that say it's possible but nothinh seems to work.....any Pelican-Head that's BTDT?

Yes. Grab the simple driver from the net, install, plug razr in and away you go...

Great...which one? Nothing that I've unzipped detects and loads when I plug in. It detects a new device, searches but nothing picks up....

All it does when plugged in, is make the clunk sound. look at the phone, the battery should be blinking.

What version Razr?

Make sure you use the powered usb port. I have 4 ports on this laptop and only 2 of them supply power. I can charge my Moto-Q off the laptop, and the charger is the same as the Razar.

Once in the group, go to the "files" section. Driver you need is there.

I charge almost all of my small electronic devices via USB. Blackberry, Razr, Garmin GPS and so on. Keeps me from having to carry 3-4 chargers around with me on trips.

Ricks comment is also spot on, especially with laptops. Many laptops have USB ports in various places, so keep trying until you find one that works in charging.
