A good day at the gun show today

Traded a CPO Sig 228 for the Winchester 94 from 1951 and picked up a nice J-sword made by Minamoto Yoshichika (he made swords for the Imperial Guards during WW2).

That 57 year old rifle is in very good condition and shoots great. Came with a box of period correct 30,30 ammo that loads nicely, but the Euro ammo I bought for plinking does not chamber smoothly for some reason. Anyway, I have never shot a lever action and this is a very nice handling rifle.

Nice lever action. I'm fond of Winchesters.

Your "Euro" ammo wouldn't happen to be wolf would it? Wolf has a soft steel case and doesn't feed as well as brass cases.

How much did you pay for the sword?

The ammo is FNM, I only have 20 rounds left; i will be shooting US ammo for it from now on.

I paid $2200 for the sword, about half of its retail value.

Note to self: Do not rob alf's home.

If your lucky he will merely shoot you. If your not lucky, it will be a scene from Kill Bill 3.
