hey, i almost shot an arrow at someone today.

i went to the archery club today. great place, but the fantastic weather had the folks out in groups. there is one trail system that is very hilly so it is less popular. i elected to give it a try, to avoid the crowds. the very first target is at 60 yards. i hit my first shot perfectly. i drew back my second arrow, and aimed...i heard something and paused. right then a dude popped out at my target and started jogging right at me. the second jogger actually stopped at my target, and looked. i like to imagine her thinking, "hey! how did this arrow get here in this bullseye thingy?" i immediately aimed left and down, and released my draw. then they saw me and cut hard right back into the bushes. it all happened to fast for me to even yell at the idiots... i took it as a sign and went home. idiots.

same thing happened to me @ Balboa Park in San Diego...guy popped out behind the bale after my arrow hit. Even carbons @74 #'s didn't pass thru. Good for him. Stories of 2 guys behind the bales from my friends...not that there's anything wrong w/ that.
