Mule, could you elaborate for a durn forner?
Cause 'Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less' sounds to me like a perfect add for a cheap hooker!

We are sitting on enough oil, coal, oil shale & nuclear to solve ALL our energy problems. Left wing buffoons have kept it illegal to top these reserves. Fear of manbearpig has all our politicians paralyzed. It;s time to say ENOUGH!

Local (National) production instead of importing from other countries?
I thought JR Ewing had emptied your oil supplies long ago?

I can't remember where I heard the comment - maybe MSNBC - but it was said Obama, if elected, doesn't have a prayer of stopping additional drilling in the U.S. The consumer demand will be too great and the prices too high for him to selectively say no.
I have nothing against additional drilling? Why? Because we don't have any other viable technology at the moment. Electric is still new and not very cost efficient, hydrogen is still very expensive, and corn-based fuel doesn't look so good after all, even if Indy race cars run it. The problem really isn't the oil, it's how quickly the oil can be manufactured. Start building refineries now, while the oil reserves are being tapped.
