NRA members: Who will you be voting for?

Obviously its a long time until the election, but at this point, who do you think you will voting for?

Jim Richards 07-02-2008 09:20 AM

None of the above.

varmint 07-02-2008 09:24 AM

if you still want to own a gun four years from now, there's pretty much no choice.

Not just that but if you want to have any future, theres no choice. This is not a really difficult decision but evidently several people who voted need some more education!

varmint 07-02-2008 09:53 AM

seriously, who's voting for obama? i want to see scans of your NRA cards.

Rick Lee 07-02-2008 10:08 AM

I'm sure plenty of NRA members will vote for Obama. They're not one-issue voters and plenty of gun folks have no problem with further regulation of guns. I don't belong to that crowd, but plenty of others do. And I'm not voting for McCain because I like him either. He's the lesser of two evils. Our country is doomed either way, but our decline might be slowed by McCain.

Another NRA Lifetime member here...

RPKESQ 07-02-2008 10:38 AM

I am a NRA Life Member and I will be voting for Obama.
The US has faltered and failed on several levels that affect everyone of us. Republicans have not reduced the size of government or reduced the cost of government since before Regean. They have not responded to a much changed world situation in a manner that reduces our vunrability to outside threats. They have screwed up Afganistan and caused a needless war in Iraq. They have attacked our personal freedoms relentlessly during the two Bush terms. They have repeatedly broken US laws and have not been supported by the SCOTUS (most of whom they appointed). They (Bush jr's group) have lost the support of most of our allies. Our economy is in the toilet, our dollar has sunk to record lows, our "plan" to remain solvent is non-existant. No initiative in energy independence, no recognition that the world is not black or white (like during the Cold War) and that we cannot go it alone, no proper allocation or plan to safegaurd our ports and cargo facilities, no future.
Yes some of you need to be educated as to the reality of todays world and our failing position in it. A one issue voter is a voter with a very narrow world-view. That is never a very good idea.
Obama does not have to be very good to be better Bush or Bush II (Mac-same).

m21sniper 07-02-2008 01:09 PM

McCain.

dipso 07-02-2008 01:52 PM

NRA Lifetime member. Obama.

NRA To the grave and beyond member. MCCain

McCain IS NOT McSame...that is a PLOY by the Democrats to smear McCain. McCain is considered by the Republicans to be a MAVERICK a vertiable loose cannon. U want someone who is not bound by ideology, then McCAin is your man. Obama is a creature of the Democratic Party and has SHOWED NO INDEPENDENCE OF THOUGHT OR ACTION in his history. So head on down that Obama road BOYZ...and listen to that mindless rhetoric as you follow Obama and the Democrats off the cliff.

Jim Richards 07-02-2008 02:22 PM

Dude, McSame or McLame, it still smells like Bush in an old guy wrapper.

tabs 07-02-2008 02:27 PM

Well Jimmy Baby....U better start bonin up on your recent history and take a look at CAlifornia in the past 10 years...especially the Gray Davis era. Then start diggin into some Brit 1960's and pre Thtcher era history...those are comparables as to what is ahead with an Obamanation.

tabs 07-02-2008 02:39 PM

Everybody seems to think that because GW is hard headed that all the Republicans are the same....that is just plain retarded...

Get yur heads outa you a$$es...each President has his only style of admin. The only thing that is basically the same is that McCain and GW has the same basic principles, however the method of arriving at the destination of those principles is totally different.

Again just keep listening to the Democrat Propaganda Machine and you will all be led to the promised land of secular socialist heaven. Everybody will be on welfare.

RPQK talks about the standing of the USA in the world. What you fking don't realize is that GW is an aberation in postwar US history. It was the NEO CON conservative JOhn Birch mentality that was given free reign. That has not flown very well and HAS BEEN DISCREDITED as the failure it is. So now how stupid is it to think that a MAVERICK like McCAIn would follow the same course of aaction...McCAin has been the guy that has challenged the REps when he tohought they were wrong and has been disliked for it in his own party. RPQK you get a D- for this one daddy.

OBAMA HAS NEVER VOTED ANYTHING BUT THE PARTY LINE IN 20 YEARS...Now he has to backpeddle on alot of those votes to APPEAR MAINSTREAM.

DEMOCRATS WANT CHANGE ..YEAH THEIR KIND OF CHANGE....a change where they get to tell you what is good for you, because they know better than you do. So go on and be a sheep...baaaabaaaabaaa....thats sheep for I liked being fked in the a$$.

Thanks for dredging up the past. You forgot to sprinkle in a little Jimmy Carter.

Didn't McSame get that memo?

Joeaksa 07-02-2008 02:59 PM

As usual, Tabdula is right.

Anyone who thinks that McCain is the same as Bush has rocks in their head. Except dip***** that is, and he has a vacuum up there.

You guys who feel that Obama Hussain is a change are right. Go and spend some time in Chicago and get used to their corrupt way of doing things, then ask yourself if you want the entire country doing things like that. I do not and will not be voting for him...

Jim Richards 07-02-2008 03:05 PM

Neither is worth a shiit. McSame has famously been called a chameleon by one of you Bush loyalists. No doubt, as he's been shedding his "independent" personna for a Bush suit. I guess the base needs that. I am disappointed that the GOP couldn't do better, given that our party needs change a helluva lot more than the Dems. Of wait, they're running away from the Clinton legacy.

Really?

This is your insightful interjection of knowledge? McCain has only one thing he understands (and that not very well), the military option. He admits to not having a very good understanding of the economy, seems to think that talking to our enimies is tantamount to surrendering to them, sings "bomb, bomb, Iran" around campfires, has flipflopped on more issues than most, has no foreign policy experience (other than bombing), was born with a silver military spoon in his mouth, was extremely poor academically, etc., etc.
What you think is the "maverick" in McCain is just his inability to stick to a position and to express himself any better than the "headline" whore that he really is. McCain cannot post a voting record that has any consistent direction, his campaign is run by all the standard republican money special interests. Please tell me how that differs from Bush jr?

I think that D- belongs firmly in your own report card.
