pwd72s - I think so but my wife argues with me about that....
Stealthn, This is off the top of my head (and after a few drinks) so you may need to adjust a bit Black truffle wild mushroom risotto 1 diced Vidalia onion 2 cups Arborio rice ¼ cup chopped Black truffles ¼ cup goat cheese Chicken stock 2 tbl Grlic ¼ cup white wine ¼ cup diced mushrooms (Portabella, ****ake, and Morrell) In a large pan, sauté the onions in butter until translucent. Add Garlic. Then add the rice and 2 tbl spoons of Extra virgin olive oil and mix all together well. De glaze pan with the wine and reduce. When the rice absorbs the wine start slowly adding chicken stock. Add ½ cup of chicken stock at a time and let it reduce. When the risotto is ¾ done (tell by tasting it) add the mushrooms and goat cheese and more chicken stock. Salt and pepper to taste. or you can make the trip to bham and save the work!!! Tim |

Kevin is a great guy. He is a member of our PCA region (Redwood). I happen to live 5 minutes from the TRG and Adobe Winery facility. After the Daytona race he hosted a wine tasting at his facility. We got to drink great wine and look at the Porsches that just finshed at Daytona.
Kevin was telling us the story of how the cars were running hot and he had to make a decision to have the cars finish 2,3 and 4 or let them chase the Mazda for first. He chose the 2, 3 and 4 finish. The Adobe Road Cabs and Syrah are really good.

I'd go just to be able to ask him why he sold out and started running pontiacs instead of Porsches a while back after Porsche basically handed him the Le Mans win when they gave him their drivers, their engines, and their engineers. Nice loyalty.
Really ticked me off. |
