Whats in involved in being a honorary Murican?

Nothing of a sexual nature, I presume..?

Then make effigies of King George III and douse with cheap rye for a good bonfire...

Somewhere toward the middle of those activities grill a few burgers and dogs over a little charcoal.

You forgot the baked beans, for extra power during the fireworks

My nephew is a f16 pilot,He is going to be here for the 4th. Maybe I can get him to let me borrow his badass machine and I can go buzz something. Only for the 4th

BRPORSCHE 07-03-2008 08:04 PM

The local wing flys right over my house on the fourth. Nothing gets ur blood pumping like twenty of the birds on full burners. The sound is amazing.

and yes Markus, blow something up. Thats what I am doing.

Mule 07-03-2008 09:20 PM

Beer, barbecued pig & burgers, explosives. In that order. There already blowing shiit up here.

John Philip Souza - don't forget John Philip Souza. With fireworks, spud salad, corn on the cob, beer and friends.

And, before the beer takes control, a moment to remember why so many gave so much to give birth to this country.

Markus, mark your calander for next year. I have 2 spare bedrooms and I live in a small town that exists for 2 reasons. Little league baseball and the 4th of July. It is an all day event, Parades, blowing up stuff, flea markets, blowing stuff up, grilling, blowing stuff up, swimming (river or pool), blowing stuff up. The drinking starts at sun-up. You have an open invatation. Bring your kids, they will love it.
PS When we run out of the illeagal fireworks (shipped in from other parts of the country) we break out the black powder, and potato guns, and the flaming tennisball cannon it something to see. :)

Regardless of what you all wind up doing (just don't blow off any fingers, please), Happy Independence Day to all!

Burgers, hot dogs, tater salad, watermelon, corn on the cob, barefoot girls in cut off jeans sitting on the hood of the car drinking warm beer in a soft summer rain, and a few moments here and there raising my glass in honor of those that made it all possible!!

livi 07-04-2008 09:53 AM

Rick,

Thanks for the invitation! SmileWavy

Noah930 07-04-2008 11:22 AM

Just got back from a neighborhood block party and "parade" (mostly the kids riding their bikes around the block). Who knew this type of stuff still happens in the big city?

livi 07-04-2008 11:37 AM

You all drunk now then? Taking most of your advice to heart - I sure am. An hour ago I ended up in a very small inflatable children's pool - sporting a nice shirt, underpants and shoes..

I am still working on throwing up and blowing something up.

I think IŽll do this again next year! :D

BRPORSCHE 07-04-2008 11:39 AM

Don't pass out with your shoes on Markus or your fair game.

scottmandue 07-04-2008 11:41 AM

DO NOT throw up in the pool!

Trust me on this one.

and no I am not drunk, I am at work, grumble, grumble, growl....

And it looks like you're getting quite a lot done, too. ;)

Hawktel 07-04-2008 11:48 AM

Lol I'm at work also. For another 2 hours.

Rick V 07-04-2008 12:33 PM

I don't drink anymore so I'm not drunk, just having a blast. Gotta let the sulfer clear from the lungs before I set anything else off. Had a great bottle rocket fight with the moron down the street. He quit when I started bringing out some of the bigger rockets. :)Can't wait till dark.

Just spent the last 4 hours watching a documentary on the American revolution.
Time to be thankful for what we have and recognize those who sacrificed so we could have it.
BTW, don't be this guy:

Well, without a department manager and a supervisor to tell me what to do I am completely lost.
