U.S. Is in No Shape to Give Advice, Medvedev Says
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/03/world/europe/03medvedev.html Russia wants a bigger say in world affairs.... Uh huh - they have lots of oil (that's O I L) so they get more say. Naturally, their long record of democracy, equality, and open government should reassure the world community. And.... their powerful locomotive of an economy will help all the globe. Who invited them to dance around at the G8 anyway? Just because they go some pretty new shoes? |

The USSR died on a prolonged dip down to $12 a barrel. They just couldn't pump and sell enough at that price. And now, just a few years from $20 a barrel, $200 is looking like a hopeful pause. And now the former Soviet Union has more immediate wealth than the Czars ever dreamed of. And it's in 'the government's' pocket. Iran is a pimple.
