Ever just freeze?

Went on the local news today to promote an upcoming DE, and I had rehearsed what I was going to say all morning. Finally, get on the news, start talking, and my mind goes completely blank - probably couldn't have even come up with my name.

The newscaster was good - right away, he knew I was stuck and asked further questions about the event, and once I got going, I was fine, and it came out alright on the TV (though it felt like an eternity when I was doing it).

In any case, I can't recall another time that I have gone completely blank like that - I've done tons of presentations at work and for the Porsche Club, and I've never had the trouble. I wasn't nervous this morning - just all of a sudden went blank.

Ever happen to any of you?

It happens to me at the worst of times, when I'm in a heated argument with someone. It could be political, it could be personal, whatever, my mind just empties like a seive. I think if you were looking closely you could probably actually see the thoughts drain out! Usually when I'm in a situation like yours, though, I'm fine.

That's exactly why I embed hidden notes in most preso's I do. I've given some preso's dozens of times, but without fail I get off track or freeze up sometimes. It's human nature.

I was going to ask if the reporter was ridiculously hot. And then you commented:

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Actually, the weather girl was ridiculously hot, so maybe that was the problem!
