Alright, finally it needs
some real work! I've been anxiously awaiting the day it would break, now it has. It still didn't leave me on the side of the road, but the rotor and assembly fell into my hands when I took the aluminum cam gear cover off. I now know why they put a woodruff key there. Anyway, it still made it to my destination which is 225 mile from home, but all is cool, no worries. Timing didn't jump, or at least it looks ok. My parts diagram is of poor quality, and I was wondering if the only thing I need to do is replace the bolt that screws into the end of the camshaft? There may be more, but I haven't had the chance to dig into it, even if I did, there would be a tools issue. I'm going to do more than replace what is broken while I am in there, because it broke for a reason, what that is, I'm not sure.
I'm just trying to get a heads up, if you can supply a description, or have a picture that would be greatly appreciated. I may have missed something on clarks, but at least I looked there first. |
Are we supposed to guess what vehicle you are talking about?? The 944? Dump it & get a real Porsche...:D:D:D
|
Yep, get a V8,
|
Indeed.
A Quad Cam 32V watercooled hemi V-8. :) |
Dr. Porsche's favorite!

Fuch, I asked for it. I think it's funny you guys are always tweaking or working on your cars. I drive the snot out of mine, or did.
Anywho, I'm sure Ferry intended for row after row of other Porsche variants to fill up gargae bays. |
At the risk of stating the obvious - are you aware that you posted a technical question in OT?
If you posted this on the 944 forum, I'm guessing the first question - what car are you talking about - would be clear. Since you posted in OT, and sometimes people ask questions about other cars here, it's hard to say what your post is asking about... |
His post is obviously X-wing propaganda cleverly concealed so that only his sleeper cell members can get the TRUE message.
PS - fill in whatever you don't like for X |
