If you search on California wildfires you get a million links blaming global warming AKA manbearpig. But then there's this:

I think they're gonna have to move Glacier National Park to Mt. Shasta then, which is probably benefiting from more moisture due to the warming ocean.

I think this is mostly die to the change in the thermocline layer or some **** like that.

Still, how many martini's do you figure we could get off it?

the glaciers in Glacier national park have been shrinking since 1850 as far as they can tell. that's with an EIGHT.
I didn't even have a car back then. Not too long before that they finally killed off the last of the pirates. Coincidence? There's just as much real evidence that lack of pirates is causing global warming as there is that global warming is man made.

I don't necessarily dispute that the climate is warming. We were in a mini ice age less than 250 years ago, it stands to reason that the climate is still recovering from that.
I don't agree with unsubstantiated claims that it is caused by burning fossil fuels.
I strongly believe that claim is politically and financially motivated and I am not a weak-minded sheep that can be controlled and manipulated into buying whatever they want to sell.

If the climate is changing it's because this is a living, changing planet and is going through one of it's natural cycles and convincing people to buy a prius or flurescent lights made in China will not change that.

Last time I checked, most things on earth are cyclical... I'm just saying....

Actually, we would be in a slight cooling phase - EXCEPT for human generated global warming.

Shasta is the rare exception to mtn. glacier retreat and the growth there is indeed from additional precipitation due to marine storms.

This is all verifiable by anyone who cares to dig up the facts.
