Anyone got a condo/timeshare to rent in Maui for November
Looking at or around 11/1-11/15/08 for a 2-3 bedroom condo/townhouse/timeshare or any leads on such a place? Any suggestions on how to find a good deal; but willing to pay a fair price. Thanks PP Brain Trust.

I have a buddy who's family owns a condo in Lahaina--I can ask if it's booked yet.

My wife and I have one but it's a studio, it can sleep four if I remember correctly but if you want privacy from the family it might be too small for you.

I'll second vrbo.com. I've used it for Maui and the big island with great results. The only bad part is the pay in advance . ...forwarding 3k or so (non-refundable) and hoping the place is as described isn't comforting.
Jess, do you own that as a condo or a timeshare? -i've been looking into buying, but have been scared-off by so many of the units being leasehold. ...need to learn more.

Try http://www.kahanavillage.com. This place is a complex of two story condos, and not one of those high density, high-rise condos with too many people. It is right on the water. The beach is pretty decent by Maui standards. I stayed there last year, and the place is quiet. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Our bedroom was probably 30-40 feet from the water at high tide. This was by far the best Hawaii experience I have ever had. The prices are not the cheapest you'll find, but it's a bargain for what you get.

We rented from kumulani.com and stayed in Wailea Ekahi. Very nice condos.
