Z3 M Coupe

What do you guys think of them any thoughts? Thinking about getting a first generation one rather than a 95/96 993 which would be around $10k more. They seem like a fun little car.

I'd keep my 993 any day.

I don't like the way they handle. I'm also not a fan of the seating position. I think you should go drive a coupe of them and see what you think.

I'd buy a '95 993 in a heartbeat.

Great car but not sure I would ever take one over a 993 unless money was an issue.

I saw one at HOme Depot 2 days ago. I asked the guy his MPG. He politely said, "Not that good, about 20!" I just thanked him and moved on.

Heck, I get 21 on my SC. I will be detuning it soon so I could get back to high 20's.

Blew the engine on mine. Twice. I'm not alone, either. If you plan to track, avoid it. For a street toy, it's OK. Heavy and more of a point and squirt muscle car than a sports car. With mods you can make it handle, but it's no Porsche.

Pretty sure the 'M' stands for 'moderately entertaining street car,' not 'motorsport' (or maybe its 'MaryAnne')

I thought the engine was basically a 3L hand grenade.

They drive like a modernized Triumph - I mean that in a good way.

I drove one for about 20-30 minutes on a nice twisty - then I drove a Boxster over the exact same course immediately afterwards. The Boxster was like driving a spaceship -- a UFO. It was THAT much more advanced.

And the Boxsters are cheap.
