What's the least you've ever paid for fuel?
The lowest I've ever paid was .58 a gallon, back in the 80's

When I had my '66 SS Chevelle w/ 2 Holley 850s, it was about .30. The cheapest I ever paid was .22. I used to fill up a '69 LTD Brougham for about $10.

I remember .19 in the late 60's when I cut grass as a kid, Sinclair station, back when they thought oil came from dinosaurs. We used to fill up our 65 VW for 2 bucks.

$.19 during the gas wars... $.33 to .39 all thru high school. Made the L88 in the ElCamino cheap to run. Was 500RHP on the dyno. 400 pounds of boilerplate bolted to the bed.
Would light up the G-width Goodyears for two city blocks. |

I turned 16 in 1966. Gas was 21-22 cents a gallon usually. But occasionally we had 'gas wars' between service stations.
19.9 was usually the low.

_____________ Funny. If you're a 'car guy' ...some shyt just sticks. We used to pull in a station, put in $2.00 worth. That was half-a-tank back then. Since I retired, I grocery shop weekly now. However, if you put a gun to my head and told me to give you what I paid LAST Monday for a loaf of bread or gallon of milk ...I would just say, shoot me ...I have no clue. Never look at food prices, never check the register receipts. It's unimportant to me. Go figure.
