I agree with you in premise, but this isn't the best example. There are very large stretches of the autobahns now that actually DO have speed limits - and the areas without are shrinking daily.

55 mph and a "sweater", that'll do it. :)

If you do, please stay in the right lane though!"

Exactly.

For you 'unwashed masses' that struggle through log-jammed traffic in metro. areas, I feel for you. But there are still areas of this country where we have miles and miles of nothing but ...miles and miles! As long as I am paying for the additional fuel at 70+MPH ...it's B.S. to slow EVERYONE down. MOVE RIGHT!

What is a president supposed to do when at war during an energy crisis?

We are NOT in an energy crisis. There are no shortages nor will there be anytime soon. I can go anywhere I want and buy all the fuel I need. What we have is high prices being driven by speculation...that too will pass.

One of my vehicles is a 2006 Ford F-250 Crew Cab with the 6.0 Powerstroke diesel that I use to tow my boats. When I drive my truck I typically drive at 65 mph because that feels about right. My engine is turning around 1900 rpm and I'm getting 23 mpg.

When the price is high on something you want/need you either make more money or you have to adjust your budget.

The 55mph limit is a farce just like it was before.
