hard target

I am on my third P-Car and am living in a new area in SoCal. Why do the Corvette people always "buzz" me and get on my ass like they "know I am just itching to race?" Is it just me? I joined a club so I could drive the hell out of my car without risking your children's' / wives/ parents safety. I know there is a Corvette club. I am sorry about their penises but I wish they would leave me alone on the road. BTW the latest guy I am talking about happened today, my wife was driving beside me on a two lane in one direction road and this dude slammed on his brakes at 45 MPH and actually backed up in the road to go around a little water that was coming off the sprinklers in the median. then he came by and encroached my lane at way more than 45.

I haven't really seen this with Vettes. Sometimes with ricers... just ignore 'em

+1 on the Ricer thing. Corvette guys typically look the other way when I stop next to them at a light (if they only knew I had a stock 3.0 under the hood...).

Go over to CorvetteForum.com and mention "Porsche". You'll quickly learn where they're coming from. For laughs, check out the sigs in the C5/C6 sections..."mods include BSM delete" LOL.

I am in Mira Mesa, it is the airplane-on-the-ground-with-fart-cannon capitol of California. It happens to me a lot with them too. I do ignore them. It was just funny the guy would risk his baby driving two feet from the back of my car and race the engine but avoided water like it would turn his car into a gremlin. BTW a hilarious site here.

It's the same reason why the 5'2" guy is the one picking fights at the bar and the guy with the small wee-wee feels the need to have a trophy girlfriend (who costs him dearly).

It's the Mustangs and pickups here. I think the pickups are the worst...hey, why not tail me at 45mph in traffic so close that you can't see my taillights just to make sure I understand that your engine's bigger than mine.

I've had Mustangs cut off other cars crossing 2 lanes to get behind me...and, strangely, they always ARE behind

This 'vette dude was certainly practicing poor etiquette, but is it possible that you were not yielding to faster traffic in the fast lane? Not sure what lane you were in, or what you mean by "My" lane?
Was a "rolling road block" situation created here?

If I read it correctly, the OP was in the right lane and the 'vette the left.

I was passing my wife at just a tad over the speed limit @52 in a 45. I don't think that is necessarily a rolling road block as we were going over the posted limit.

That's be a "rolling roadblock" on most roads posted at 45 around here from my observations . I don't understand folks in the slow lane who are going .0005 mph faster than the car in front of them, so they "have" to pass (taking several miles to do so), while the cars behind them become a Nascar "pack" and an accident waiting to happen. Go with the flow...that's what it's all about, and that's typically 10-15 over on most roads even following a cop.

Saw one of them (SRT8) at work the other day... unimpressed. Not my cup of tea, I suppose.

Not to mention expensive (to me, no Dodge is work $40k +).

<---che'vette driver.

I'll drive up to porsches to listen to them. VERY few porsche drivers will acknowledge a lowll che'vette driver.

bmw drivers will never.

I usually get the big redneck trucks that like to leave a few inches from my back bumper while I'm driving the middle lane on the freeway

Most of the time i ignore the ricers, vette drivers etc however I had some idiot in a Passat last week that I could not shake off my tail trying to impress his girl friend.

I pulled off at the next clover leaf exit and floored it. He now has some curb rash on the rims
