First quiet day...
 

...since a very good family friend got sick a few weeks ago. Easy to stay positive as you run errands for them and bring food over and try to help out as best you can.

Easy to keep busy, and distracted, when they are in the hospital and you start shuttling family members and friends who are coming to town.

And when they slip away, you get a few days relief as the process of saying goodbye takes over.

But when it's all over, and you are left with that first quiet day... not easy.

Sorry to hear the news jake. I was starting to wonder if you wourself had gotten sick. Glad to see you back in OT.

Good advice...I've often found a good stogie smoked on the back patio, time to reflect, helpful during sad times. Not that I'd suggest picking up the nasty habit...
