Posting youtube video
I think I've seen a thread on posting and saving youtube video but can't find with search capability. Can someone tell me or direct me to the thread?
|
Posting is very easy, just go there, register and upload a video.
Not that I have done it of course, but.... :) |
Thanks Joe, I'll give it a shot!

If you're wanting to download youtube videos to your own computer, you need a program that will pull and save .FLW (Flash) video files.
Sothink has a free downloadable application that does this. If you want to continue to use it after 30 days, you may have to pay the requested $30.00. This program DOES a fine job at capturing the videos, however. :D Randy |
what I'm trying to do is embed the video as opposed to just copying the url and then having to click it. I can post the url, just can't figure out how to get the youtube vid to appear, not sure I've made that clear.
Still haven't figured it out but then it's Monday. |
A lot of the videos provide the code for embeding them. Simply copy the entire text in the "Embed" field and paste it into your post. Should do the trick.

I'm working on it, think I figured it out. I was copying the address, not clicking on the [ embed ] word above the address.
Thanks again |

Not working for me, does it have something to do w/ the fact I'm using an Apple, screw it, I'm going to do something else for a while!!! |
Sounds like you were doing it right.
Try this... 1.) Click on the text inside the box under the word Embed and hi-lite the text inside the box...as shown in the pic below. 2.) Right-click on the hi-lited text and select "Copy" from the drop-down menu. 3.) Paste the copied code into your post on the forum. (Should look like pic # 2, below) 4.) Submit your post. :D Pic #1 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1216056656.jpg Pic # 2 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1216056813.jpg Randy |

Doesn't work the same way on an Apple, that's the major flaw. Did this in Windows, so we figured out how it's done now I have to see if there is a way to get the same end result on and Apple. Thanks again. |
