If Brazil is such a great example of alternative energy...
Why are they looking for and drilling and starting to produce so much oil?
|
because they're selling it to us?

I think it's called "exporting." The US used to do it in the ol' days, when we had and made stuff that other people wanted. :)

We'll bounce back. The rising cost of fuel will be the determiner of who survives and who doesn't in the first half of this century. Chinese steel is going to get real expensive very soon once the cost of transporting it is factored in. Now is the time to fire up the mills alongside the Ohio River.

This seems like a rather silly question. Its called black gold, remember?

Their ethanol and bio-scam programs consume more energy that they produce and that gets expensive after a while. the government has to subsidize it so they need a source of revenue to pay for their money-losing green programs. They sell oil to pay for something that replaces oil. Makes perfect sense in the bizzaro universe. |
