I work in a company that females make up around 90% of the population - you think that is bad - you should see how bad they get hosed at the dealership. |

...and Jeremy, are you hiring? I like that ratio. |

Jeremy - I am just getting tired of it.
Terry - I have been called worse. Noah - Bingo! Exactly what I was going to tell the salesman, he can forward it were he wants to. |
Jim go to sunbiz.org look up who the principles are -
Send a letter to the sales rep and copy the general manager. Ask for your money back - I would. Terry, thanks for stirring the pot - :D |
Jeremy and Terry - how far are you two from Orlando (more so Tavares?) we should meet up for an Autocross there. Maybe come over the afternoon before, there is a Holiday Inn in town with a great little Bar/Grill next door.
Hungover Autocrossing rocks! Bell lives up there now and Martin Sports Car Club puts on fun events. |
Hey Jim.
This has nothin to do with what your talking about. I went to FIT in Jensen Beach and lived there back in the 70's. Tell me, is Shakra's still in town? Indian River Drive still stink to high hell at low tide? Francis Langford, Outrigger Restaurant gone? House of Refuge still intact at the beach? I have to wonder just how much Jensen has grown the last few decades. Shakra's was located in Rio at one time. All my ex-in-laws still live down there. Bob |
Shakra's was next to Jans Place forever but moved across the street downdown, he opened a second location in PSL and the Jensen one suffered somewhat from it. He also raised his prices through the ceiling so I really do not go there much anymore. The hot Italian sub is still awesome and his wife is still hot.
Francis Langford Outrigger is still there but is now named the Shrimp Bar but the lobby is still a museum of sorts of the days of old with lots of information about the Langfords and how the place came to be. Next door to it where FIT used to be waterfront is now a county park names Langford Park and they are in the process of restoring the old mansion as a museum. The FIT dorms are now a convalescent home and it looks all fancy now. House of refuge is still there along with Bathtub beach. Here is my car a few months ago next to the House of Refuge: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...7/CIMG2674.jpg The river has its days but is not as bad as it used to be 15 or so years ago. But trust me when the tide is really low, it will knock you out. I'll get some pics around town and post them up for you. |
Thanks Jim.
I used to know the guy who started Shakra's. It was about the only place to go for lunch away from the campus. I bet his black and white photo still hangs somewhere (the one wher he holds up the spatala). His son was just a young kid back then and yes, his wife was hot!! I do not know how far you go back in Jensen Beach. I lived aboard a sailboat at the marina downtown which was rather sparse then and once had a motor boat tied up at Bailey's boat yard. That restaurant on the corner downtown was the main event. Poor Bob's was open near the causeway, but a bit pricey. There was a time where you could drive up to Jensen and Stuart beaches, explore all of Sewell's Point (wild and untamed) and head down confusion corner to a Chinese restaurant, which was probably one of just a handful of places to eat. As a college student the place won in beauty and open spaces, but the woman were far and few in-between. What do you do their? Thanks Bob |

October would be good for me I will have a new set of slicks by then, I need to redeem myself from my pathetic showing last weekend with worn out slicks.
I actually turned a 1 second faster time on my street tires. |
