Inflammatory front page
I’ll say it again - I think part of the economy (good and bad) is based on fundamentals and the other 50% is based on perception. I think the media either helps (probably 10%) in that perception but more likely hurts (90%) with that perception. Everybody knows bad news sells - but where is the ethical responsibility? This was on the front page of the St. Petersburg Times Today. This area if know for being the home of the newlywed and the nearly dead. How many elderly people do you think read the paper and called or visited their bank today? I think this is irresponsible even though the rest of the article describes how the FDIC insures deposits up to 100K.
It pisses me off.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1216222575.jpg |
If you took all the sensationalism out of most newspapers whatyou would have left is the classifieds.

That's ok - Porsche-O-Phile will tell you it's ok to get everyone riled up!

Lots of old folks in FLA worrying about this stuff, you can be sure. But then again, they remember certain eras..

I hate it when the media talks about cold fruit on the front page, how horribly irresponsible!
|
Of course burglary will now go up in FL because the old folks will be gettin ripped off by the druggies.
