My Grandfather in-law rebuilds them - he mainly works on JD, Case, Farmall but has rebuilt Fords, MM's and Olivers. I asked him about the Porsche tractors once - he has seen them rebuilt but never had the op to take one down and build it up.

$6000 may be a pretty good price. A JD or Farmall built in the 50's can go for that easy if in very good shape. Some models that are rare can fetch a huge price. The vintage tractor market is very robust.

If I had the money and land I would like that tractor. Our Son would freak!

That is the BIG one. I have only seen the juniors. I considered a P tractor when I was looking. Too much tractor for my needs, NO parts available, and in tractor world they kinda get a "So what" response. I bought and restored the John Deere 330 instead. Weighs in at about a half ton. 19 hp., 3 cyl. Yanmar Diesel that can pull stumps. I believe that is more hp than the Porsche. Although at the moment it has a belly mower mounted on it, it is easy to remove for real tractor stuff. I have a full hydro front dozer/snow blade, and it has a rear PTO and a 3 point hitch for rear mounted toys too. All I'm missing is a #44 front loader that, if you can find one, costs more than I paid for this 20 year old tractor. It would be cool to have one though.

That is a good looking old beastie. There's a Junior (single cylinder) with a blown cylinder for sale near me. Needs a lot of TLC.

Thanks! It's been a year since my P car left home. I kinda threw myself into the JD as a project to get my mind off her.
