Norman leads the Open!
 

This is crazy! I had to check and make sure that weren't talking about the senior open. After 2 rounds, Greg Norman - the world's unluckiest golfer - leads by a stroke.

And David Duval - former number one in the world who lately can't break 80 - is tied for second! And Jean Van de Velde - the guy who couldn't hold a three shot lead with one to play - is four strokes back.

Vijay, Phil and Ernie are all going to miss the cut.

KJ Choi just finished birdie-birdie and leads at -1.

Between Norman and Dara Torres, I see me getting out and doing a little more exercise in the next few weeks. It's not too late after all!

It's because of his new wife ...Chris Evert.

She makes him practice with the larger, yellow balls!

His self effacing attitude about the tournament hopefully will help him thru 3 and 4. I hope he wins, but in all likelyhood he'll finish in the top ten which still would be cool. C'mon, shark!

This would be great for the Shark to finish this thing. After all the heartbreaking losses over the years, I'd like to see him get his name on the cup one more time.

What a great story, I hope he wins it. However, you have to acknowledge that Woods is still even par, so Norman has to shoot 67 tomorrow to beat him.:p

I'm not sure I want to cheer after I learned more about the unexpected nuptials though I was a "shark" fan. Apparently, Andy Mills (Evert's former husband) used to be Norman's (best) friend.:eek:

It happens. Maybe Greg's a plumber of a different sort than yourself, doc. It's none of my business, and I don't really care to know what transpired in the past, but I see more than one person happier and one that is playing tremendously on the short grass. Kick some a$$ Shark!

I know he has a son who golfs, when I saw the name Greg Norman on the leaderboard, I thought it was his son! I thought Norman retired a while ago.

I guess. I like watching Andy at work too (he catches Tarpon, lots of tarpon) - wish I had his job....Wondered why he was getting a divorce after many years, now, I know....
