GP of Germany **SPOILER**
SPOILER
Practice was today in the wet. McLaren were VERY quick. Could it be another Silverstone? Great teaser video: <object width="400" height="225"> <param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=1362985&server=www.vimeo .com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_p ortrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" /> <embed src="http://www.vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=1362985&server=www.vimeo .com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_p ortrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="225"></embed></object><br /><a href="http://www.vimeo.com/1362985?pg=embed&sec=1362985">Practice 1</a> from <a href="http://www.vimeo.com/user567207?pg=embed&sec=1362985">Axis of Oversteer.com ***</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com?pg=embed&sec=1362985">Vimeo</a>. Make sure to go to Axis of Oversteer if you cannot wait for Fox to show the delay, they are broadcasting the British feed of the race (I think, it might be the German one this week) |

Actually McLaren were quickest by that much because the track condtions were changing, and the track was drying and heating up. I don't think .7s is indicative of the gap from Ferrari, because the track was still drying and Massa and Kimi didn't get another run in before time ran out.
I think we'll see much closer times in qualifying, especially if the weather is dry. The surprise right now is Red Bull (!!) and Mark Webber. Go Mark! No way is McLaren going to hire another Rosberg, no way no how! |
Hope so. There was some very nice passing in the last race.

remember Axis of oversteer is providing a live feed sunday morning.

Are you Jim's evil twin?

I actually signed up with this account and for some stupid reason decided to use my real name, after certain events I decided it was time to go back to my standard screen name.
I asked a moderator about deleting my old screen name but it seem sI have to ask permission for that from the owner. I am not sure I will get the attention to this matter I want so I am just using the old screen name and letting the other one fade away. :D |
I'm PISSED !!!! It's Saturday and I'm sitting in Koln (Cologne) up North West... Just got in LATE last night/this morning and no way to make it down to Qualifying !!!!
-got to go find a pub with television coverage and a beer. |
SPOILER BELOW!!!
Live feed is up, rain may or may not happen. Cars will be rolling by 8:00 EST. http://axisofoversteer.blogspot.com/2008/07/german-gp-live.html |
That damn Hamilton kid seems to be dominating again. The nerve of him!:D
|
Yeah, did you see that pass on Heikki???
Team orders? Massa sucks. |
BTW- McLaren does have the much faster car today. It is painful watching Kimi stuck behind Bob knowing he could be chasing down Hambone.
Massa sucks. |
Best in the business! With some experience, maybe the best ever!http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/im...icon_super.gif

Wow! What a great race.
Jim - you might want to edit your title with ***spoiler*** since the broadcast is delayed. Ian |
Fixed
I was refraining from saying too much so as to not give it totally away. It was painful being a Kimi fan today and watching Ferrari throw away another weekend. A question came to mind today, is it possible Hambone can actually develop a car? It was also funny to see Nelson come in on the podium right after Alonso said he needed to step up, then Alonso ends up spinning out and coming in 11th. It looks like a 1 stopper was the best strategy today. Massa made an ass out of himself today driving along in a fog not pushing and content with Second behind Nelson. He didn't even deserve 3rd place. Now 7 points separate the top 3 in the WC, I have to wonder if Ferrari will ever get its crap together. |
King Hambone? What did he lose, almost 30 seconds to "safeties" (lame term by the way). Had that not been the case, he'd have been ahead by nearly a minute. Ferrari will be offering him part ownership soon.
|
Edit: Joe is right. Spoiler should be in the thread title.

Hmmm, wish I had not opened this thread. Have not seen the race yet. Thanks guys! :(

Wow, great race ... gotta give Hammy credit. His driving saved the day after the team's strategy mistake of not bringing him in once pit lane opened during the safety car.
Massa, on the other hand, is gonna need a "brain coach" after his performance last race in the wet and now the pass that Lewis put on him today. |
