!#@&)*!^$^&) Firefox
So I launch FireFox and it updates me to the latest and greatest version 2.0.0.15 and I find all my bookmarks are gone. What gives? Did this on both of my computers now.
Is there anyway to restore my bookmarks? Thanks. |
You should find the file here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\g9wdcwwl.default Replace "Administrator" with your log on name. Or, search for "bookmarks.*" (without the quotes). If you are lucky, you'll find a "bookmarks.bak". IT may be a recent backup. Save a copy and rename to bookmarks.html. Make sure it is in the correct path. This should get your bookmarks back. It is odd that a FF update would do this though. Dave There also seems to be a directory under the above path named "bookmarkbackups". Check here as well. |
You are my hero.
Thanks. |
You are welcome. I hope you were able to find a backup.

Yeah the FF updates are really irritating.
The way it nags you and forces updates on launch really pisses me off. I've stopped using it. |
its way better than microsucks version internet exploder. It won't download the bad stuff as often.

I have been using firefox for quite some time. I have not had any problems with it hiding the bookmarks or anything else after the automatic updates. I guess it may be just how mine is set-up??
