I missed my 30th just last summer. I was on the road, fixing an airplane. My class had not held one since about our 15th or so, so I was curious. I went to the 5th and 10th. They are already making plans for a 35th, so I think I'll go to that.
My evil plan is to rent a wheelchair and a wheelchair van, then do my best Hawking imitation. I'll have my oldest son's hot girlfriend (maybe wife by then) dress up like a nurse and push me around. That way, I can observe and not have to talk to anyone. |
There isn't anyone from high school that I have any desire to see. I hated school and everything about it. I was only there just enough to get by and I was usually stoned while I was there.

Funny aside, here...on my road trip, I stayed in Bend Oregon for a few days. Promised I'd send a friend a postcard. Ever looked for a postcard rack these days? Another victim of the Internet, I suppose.
Anyway, a waitress directed me to "The Oregon Store"...a tourist trap kind of place that sells only stuff made in Oregon. Nice grandmotherly type behind the counter. We chatted, discovered that were graduated together. If we hadn't chatted, neither would have recognized the other. Folks change in 47 years, yeah they do. I left, saying I'd think about making it to the 50th reunion. I figured that was more polite than saying: "When Pigs fly"... |

I moved my senior year (class of 77) so I didn't know that many after one year. I skipped the 5th, went to the 10th. Still the same old cliques and snobs. I've skipped all others since then. In fact, I'm not even sure I was invited. No motivation to go any way.

coming up on 20 years since i graduated. in that 20 years, i have not seen 1 single person i went to school with and really could care less if i ever do and i went to an all boys school so any reunion is gonna be really boring

been to all, the 40th last year was probably the best. I spent my time in high school between the nerdy college bound and the athletes. Most of my college crowd did not show up this year. Everyone was laid back and didn't really care what you had done, just that you were still kicking. Some have developed physical illnesses, some have died.

Funny Jeff, wrong, but funny.

Thankfully, Irish high school reunions are hugely rare things. Either that or they haven't managed to find me yet. Or they haven't looked. All suit me just fine :D

We went to our 20th (in 1999) and because we both went to the same school and graduated in the same year, we saw our old friends and had a great time! We're looking forward to our 30th, some time next year!

I've never gone and don't plan to. Because of the class sizes, several years are lumped together for us and my siblings and I are one year apart, so I get reports on people from my class and others. I don't think I'm missing much.
Besides, most of the US population doesn't mature much beyond high school - pretty disappointing. I had one of my team practically crying in my office recently because two other team members talk to each other more than they talk to her. |
Never been to a reunion, never had the desire. Really didn't care for most of them (even though I'd known many since kindergarten), kept in touch with those 3 that were/are great friends. Lost track of about 5-6 that fell off the earth. I'm always amazed while reading Classmates at their outcomes.
Gack, what few years and a few thousand miles make! OBTW...graduated in 72! |
Just learned that my 25th was last month. I never went to any of the reunions. I had a lot of fun in HS, though. Was too embarassed for many years that I didn't finish college, so I never went to the reunions. I wish I've could have gone to my 25th just to see what everyone looked like. I ran into my old HS GF recently and she didn't recognize me!
