LIBTARDS giving free movie passes and invitations to barbeques

CNN reports that: for the democratic convention in Denver, organizers are giving free movie passes and invitations to barbeques in parks a good distance from the stadium, to homeless people and other dregs of society that they don't want appearing in news coverage of the convention. They are relocating the very people that their party created through welfare, section 8 housing and NAFTA. Real class act liberals trying to hide their shame.

BBQ? Know what the carbon footprint of that is? And eating flesh? Unthinkable!

That's funny, you try to make it sound as if the democratic party is responsible for this.
Think about it, why would the party who is not in charge, want to hide the results of the failed domestic policies of the party that is in charge.

The plan for the homeless is being coordinated by the Denver Department of Human Services, Denver Police Department and the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.
John Parvensky, the president of Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, explained how the program is really intended to be considerate of the homeless:
“A person who typically sits under a tree in a park that is now occupied by 1,000 protesters won’t have the peace and quiet they’re desiring. Particularly those with mental illness can’t cope with crowds.”

Oh sure, they're relocating all the homeless for their own good....

Denver's shipping them back home to Dallas. ;)

Honestly they don't need to do this, most of Denver's homeless live on the Platt bank right behind the north parking lot of the Pepsi Center.

EDIT: re-read that blurb, and yes they would need to ship them away, they picked an area with the highest concentration of homeless possible.

Actually I've been surprised at the apparent lack of homeless people in Big D. They must stay fairly out of sight. Of course this is all compared to when I lived in Houston, where there is a panhandler on each intersection. San Antonio wasn't much better...

There are only about 3900, from the article I read.

Word has it Dallas shipped them up to Denver earlier this year.

When the olympics were in Atlanta the city gave bus tickets to Birmingham, Chattanooga, Tallahasse and other nearby cities, to the homeless.

This is exactly why I don't want the Olympics in Chicago (besides the fact it will be used as an excuse to raise taxes--that won't go back down). Daley has foisted many of the thugs he and his father's policies created on the rest of the state by quietly relocating them to other cities. The thugs particularly like small central Illinois towns--places where the local police aren't equipped to deal with them.

I have no doubt the homeless and thugs would be given one-way bus tickets to the small central Illinois town of their choice if the Olympics came to town...

Calling violence in Chicago "out of control," Gov. Blagojevich on Wednesday offered to lend state troopers and National Guard helicopters to the city to augment the Chicago Police.

The governor is considering forming an "elite tactical team" to help the Chicago Police fight gang problems, a source said, adding that the unit could later be sent across the state to deal with gang problems at any city's request.

"It's fair to say that violent crime in Chicago is out of control. In certain communities in the city of Chicago, it is reaching epidemic proportions," Blagojevich told reporters at a bill-signing ceremony in Chicago.
...
The image -- or even the possibility -- of state troopers and National Guard helicopters patrolling Chicago is certain to embarrass Daley at a time when the city is one of four finalists to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Still, City Hall did not automatically reject the governor's sketchy offer.
