they are great to watch in person for the first time.

In Equador when they are around you can be sure their possibly dangerous misquotes are around.

Bubba is available for any kind of bird killing

I also have Boris, but he's only been with us for 2 weeks, and at say 2.5 months old
he's skills just aren't there yet... but showing great promise... 1 year from now, there will be a 100% increase in the killings around my house

I'm a lazy bastard. I just get a hammock, 30 pack of Millwaukee's Best and hang the hummingbird feeder next to the bug zapper.

The last thing you want to do is wound one. They are vicious predators normally but when wounded, they are especially dangerous. Protect yourself. Use a combination of granades and flame throwers.

As far as table fare goes, you are in for a real treat. I prefer to stuff and bake them in a large baking pan. This way, I catch the juices for the gravy.

In the collection notes for speciemens at the Smithsonian Museum, the perferred shot size is listed for Trochilidae (i.e. Hummingbirds), "dust" shot which is #12 shot.

do be careful,
when found in mass they have been known to 'work together too kill' the hunter.
