I guess I hadn't been thinking front wheel drive... sure does open up some options. The prelude is interesting... I have lots of time before February to read up on them... a cursory search shows some really good examples for around $7000, but my fear would be parsing through all the riced, high-schooler owned examples to find a nice one. Then again, I suppose that's how I get some fun stories to tell you all about :p

Did I tell you all about how I drove on the Nurburgring last month in a 135i? I have a datalog to post if anyone is interested...

BTW- Want to co drive Saturday night at an Equip Rapid event at Moroso go to drivers registration and sign up. I am registered and will be running my street tires since I discovered we were racing on greasy finished slicks that are slower than the streets, imagine that and we were right there with the fast guys.

You were with the fast guys- I was a few ticks behind you... but next time I will be all over you guys. I'll PM you tomorrow.

The first and last real sports car. (with room for the dog.)

Problem solved.

I love Morgans too. If you can find one for less than $10,000 I'll take two! :D

Three big ones nearby (Miami, Davie & W. Palm Beach). The W. Palm Beach auction is called "High-Line" or something similar. It is exotics, Porsches, Jaguars, Benz, etc.

There you go- look for a used WRX at the big auctions. If you get lucky wholesale is very doable even in public auctions.

These are dealer auctions. You'll have to have a "friend in the business" to attend.

Shoot me a pm when you're ready ram. I'll hook you up. They have a good auction in Lauderdale that runs 600-800 cars every Thursday. I'm sure we can find you something. :D

If you want the pre-inventory list let me know.

Your a good guy Terry.

I still need to cross paths with you and buy you that beer.

Good luck with the WRX's... up where I come from [new england.... snowy snowy icy cold new england] the very cheapest of the subarus [awd, remember] is pretty expensive and the only wrx close to $10,000 is completely rusted out, and mostly worthless.

why not go even earlier? bmw 2002 tii?

Anytime brother.

Maybe not that good for tracking but I like the last years of Honda and Toyota Station Wagons. They are still pricey but can be found in very good condition.
You probably don't need AWD in Florida.

Easy/affordable to work on. Not a lot of electronics. Instant classics...

For 10k, you're looking at a rough example of an e30 m3. Find a clean e36 m3 (1995-1999). Its a much better overall package, but I admit the e30 is more tossable.
