I was looking for a PHP, MySQL, Perl, .nix guy. You would not believe what crawled out of the wood work. Just curious why not from LA? Anyway, Linked In is a good place to start. Also check the Perl, SQL forums/user groups. Plenty of gun slingers available on those sites.

![]() Also might consider contract oriented sites like dice.com or the like. Guess it all depends on whether you're looking for someone to do a little housecleaning vs. "getting to know you" leading to a full time gig.

The one I'm thinking of is a site where the guys bid on jobs AND all of their past jobs are rated and reviewed by the people that hired them. Lemme dig through the bookmarks. I do know a really good guy in NY. He happens to be the Global Director/Web Master for NYIT University system but he's a .nix guy.

rentacoder.com has a similar model but there is a much higher end one that I think is stored on a bad block in my brain.

Maybe you should figure out exactly what help you need. You seem to have the "what" figured out, but decide on the "how much time" portion. Then maybe you can articulate that to some canditates and maybe find a match...... If you are looking for good help, I would not post that 35K might be a waste of money for the potential right person.... at least that is how I read that.......

http://legal.rentacoder.com/RentACoder/DotNet/SoftwareCoders/ShowBioInfo.aspx?lngAuthorId=811480 PM me if you want his email and dont want to work through rentacoder. His rate seems to have gone up since I last worked with him (exchange rate adjustment?), but he's every good if not better than local guys I pay twice as much for 1099 work. -Bernie |

PHP, MySQL, (some perl) ... java/javascript ... errrrr nope. Any reason why MS SQL? If you really need perl/sql gurus check out gossamer-threads.com these Canadian guys are hot. They do dbman, links, gossamer forum ... etc ... Also have a pretty rock hard server farm building up. What are you looking for specifically? I'd be willing to trade for parts ...
