I really wonder about some of those gov't. security clearances. When I lived in VA, I regularly came home to find business cards in my door from investigators wanting info on my neighbors. I never knew any of the neighbors they were asking about. In fact, I'd never had anything to do with more than about two of my neighbors in the eight years I lived in one of those houses. What do those investigators think they're gonna learn from such folks?

I think the conversation would go like this;

Hi we are wondering if you know Bob, from across the street?

Bob?? .... Oh ya Bob.. from across the street.

Yes, can you tell me anything about him?

He seems like a nice guy, keeps to himself, quiet... well, we went over once and he answered the door with a running, bloody chainsaw.... but that was only once

I went to an open house a few door down once and these guys looked like an al Qaeda cell. When we went in the basement, they had a room full of women in full burkas. It was surreal. Imagine if an investigator had asked them about me.
