9% Approval Rating - Is This The Best Use Of Their Time?

This Congress has experienced the lowest approval rating in the history of approval ratings, and this is how they choose to spend their time?

Rep. Kucinich Gets His Day to Air Impeachment Article

WASHINGTON — Rep. Dennis Kucinich's quest to impeach President Bush is got an unofficial airing in the House Judiciary Committee on Friday.

The Ohio congressman's single impeachment article is not expected to move forward, but critics of the Bush administration were taking the opportunity in a House Judiciary Committee hearing to push for removing the president from office.

What a complete bunch of idiots!

The rating is that low because they failed to impeach Bush, Cheney and the rest of the gang which lied this nation into a stupid war against the wrong country.

The nation wonders why.

Still no answers we can hang our hats on from any of the branches of government.

The closest thing we have is the Downing Street Memos.

You read about it here (click "memos"):

LOL! 9%!?!? I had no idea it'd dipped that low.

If it hits 0% are we allowed to go lynch all concerned?

Senate GOP hands Dems oil ultimatum
By Manu Raju

Senate Republicans have threatened to block nearly all other bills pending before the August recess if Democrats refuse to vote with them on expanding offshore drilling.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said bills that do not pertain to energy can wait until after the August recess, with gas prices now surpassing $4 per gallon. McConnell and top Republicans indicated Wednesday they would oppose any procedural votes to take up other legislation, which require 60 votes to succeed.

“We think there is nothing more important that we can do right now than to deal with the Number One issue of the country,” McConnell said. “This is the biggest issue since terrorism right after 9/11. People are pounding on their desks, saying, Why don’t these people get together and do something about this problem?”

The hardball tactics reflect Republican confidence that they can pull off a major election-year victory with gas prices at record highs, after they have been battered at the polls and have lost on several recent high-profile legislative battles.

It's like pissing on a forest fire: it's the right thing to do, but it's too little, too late.

Here George, I fixed it for you!

Not only are they all worthless up there, now that Reid and Peliosi lied to get into the majority, they are not doing a thing that they promised, yet people like you blindly keep following them!

sammyg2 07-25-2008 03:33 PM

It's all Bush's fault!
Hey, keep saying it. There are tards out there who may actually believe you. Of course anyone dumb enough to believe that probably can't read so it's moot.

The democrats promised all kinds of things. They had big plans. They have accomplished absolutely nothing.
Most of the bills that they have passed are SYMBOLIC and not even worth spending time on.
They made big promises, telling us that they will change things, telling up to have hope, but delivered nothing except every time a problem arises they try to figure out how to tack on more taxes as if that is a solution. Sound familiar? it will if obama gets elected.

Pelosi will go down in history as the biggest political failure of all time.

That not entirely correct. They've actually accomplished much more than their Republican predecessors:

Here is more brilliant advice from 'Wonder Woman':

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday urged President Bush to release crude oil from the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserve to combat high prices.

Pelosi sent a letter asking the president "to draw down a small portion" of the SPR's more than 700 million barrels of oil "to help reduce record prices that are helping push the economy toward recession."

"Releasing oil from the Reserve is a tool to manage our national and economic security, and when judiciously used will in no way jeopardize national security," the California Democrat wrote.

'Strategic Petroleum Reserve' ... does the woman even have a clue as to why it was initially set up? Amazing leaders we elect.

700M x $100 = $70B

It might pay for a few days of the Federal Governments operating expenses!

Here's the thing that I don't understand. If the Democrats keep saying "we can't drill our way out of this" then why would a release of prevously drilled oil from the SPR make a difference?

duh, drilling would take 5-10 years to get relief, tapping the reserve gets relief now.

He just likes posting that video over and over and over and over...probably because he has nothing original to say himself, so he'll exploit the words and efforts of others.

Well, since just the threat of drilling brought the prices down at the pump & one Wall street, you are incorrect, just like when the dems took control in 2006,, and with the threat of raising taxes & the threat of not drilling here, prices of most everything, especially gas went up, just as I predicted in 06:p
