Cell Phone Batteries

My daughter's cell phone ($250.00) does not hold a charge, its 2 months new.
WTF! She wants to buy a new battery. Is this a scam?
my phone is 2 years old and holds a charge for 2-3 days!

You would not believe how much and how often teenagers use their cell phones resulting to early battery death.

I laughed when daughter said, "Dad, I was good this month. I only texted about 1,000 times (one thousand)."

Is just turning 21 still a teenager?

I'd take it back to the store. It could be a problem with the phone itself not allowing it to take and maintain a charge. With or without insurance they should still cover you.

Something is wrong...take it to the store. Batteries wear out, but they should still last for more than 2 or 3 months. I replaced mine after about 18 months.

And yes I would consider just turning 21 still a teenager for most part.

Is the battery NiCad, NiMH or Li-Ion?
