As a guy that's been listening for over 20 years, I can tell you that his Sirius show has almost nothing to do with his old show. It's SO much better. When they played the replays of the old shows on Friday, I couldn't stand to listen. It was all strippers and porn stars. I think this version is much more mature. My .02.

it is MUCH better. the old shows are a bore compared to the new ones. i wouldnt be paying for 2 sirius radios if it was the same old show. I cant tolerate the Friday re-runs of old shows

i do think Howard is funny. I actually think he is much funnier than Artie and most comedians that come on the show. I dont think Howard gets enough credit for his sense of humor, delivery, impressions (of his parents, indians, etc) and wit. I think his taste in music, TV and films suck and he is an obvious mental case but even thinking of the radio without him being there gives me panic attacks. ill probably cancel my subscriptions the day he leaves

-oh and Richard and Sal's prank phone calls are mostly awsome and have me laughing for days sometimes

Will there be a package, even if it costs more, to NOT have Howard?

vash 07-30-2008 11:37 AM

all the packages have that option. it is called the channel switch button.

No kidding. I think it's funny that whenever satellite radio is mentioned Stern becomes the center of attention. I choose to turn to Sirius 100 and 101, thankfully we all have that choice.

The merger should be great for sports fans. Mel was saying today plans are in the works to offer all sports on a single radio soon. It's still early, but there are going to be some interesting changes.
