difference between XP pro and XP home?

My version of XP pro is no longer supported by microsoft, because the company that purchased it for me stopped paying for the licence.
Soooo, I need to get a legal supported version of XP.

Reader's digest version answer, what's the difference between XP pro and XP home edition?
I'm used to pro, would the home edition be a disappointment?
Tanks in advance.

I think the biggest difference is that you can't remote desktop back into your XP home PC from your office nor join a domain. Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be much difference.

Since I don't do either of those things, I guess I'm good with home edition ;)

I believe XP Pro is much easier to use than XP Home when setting up a network.

Or plan ahead & buy Vista.

And don't load it but then you can download XP with the same licence since it is backwards compatible. And whenever they get Vista up to steam & your hardware is up to snuff, you can load your copy of Vista. My copy of Vista Business is sitting on a shelf but I am using XP Pro.
