You hit the nail on the head.
The Eagles are the team that the Super Bowl winner beats on its way to the title.

2 of the 3 teams that beat the Eagles in NFC title games did become superbowl champs. Tampa bay and StL were great teams. And the Eagles almost beat STL in STL. We lost our Superbowl vs the DYNASTY NE Patriots by a mere 3 points in a game that went into the 4th quarter tied....AND NE cheated to boot.

McNabb has won 8 more playoff games, 5 more division titles and been to 1 more Superbowl than Romo ever has. He also has one of the best winning %'s in NFL history.

I am quite happy with the return the Eagles have delivered in the 13 years since the Cowboys last won a playoff game.

Haha, the cowgirls...talk to me when Slomo has won at least 1 playoff game, k? ;)

Pfft. The eagles aren't even the best team in the state.

The Dolphins are going to take it all this year.

"I hate the f***ing Eagles, man!"

The Dude

Because the Eagles put up a 58 spot on Detroit's best team in decades in a playoff game at the Vet? :-P

Seahawk 07-28-2008 03:01 PM

I'm no Eagles fan, but I know one with good tickets, especially when they were at the Vet.

I am a 49'ers fan (not that there is anything wrong with that) so I've had some room for NFL introspection as of late.

Waiting for the 49'er phoenix to rise, I find that I have begun to follow players more than I follow other teams. There has always been something about McNabb I admire.

I'll always be an Iggles fan after the Jeff George incident. :D

Now that Dallas has their DB situation taken care of I will talk to you later on this year. By the way Romo is an undrafted player that has started less than 20 games. They also suffered from Terry Glenn only playing in a couple games and getting $1.25 million per catch. Next year they will take care of the WR problems and then you can whine about them beating the Eagles all the time.

m21sniper 07-28-2008 03:41 PM

What, the Eagles or any other team don't have injury problems too?

The eagles secondary is far superior to that of the Cowboys too, btw. :) They have a 2 time pro-bowl nickelback. And the best FS in football.

Tony Romo is a fraud. The Cowgirls will never win anything with him at QB. Put McNabb on this years Cowgirls squad, and they'd be a lock to go to the Superbowl.

Wow I normally agree with your posts but tonight you are delusional. :p

McNabb took a much less talented Eagles offense to within 3 points of a Superbowl title.

Proof is in the pudding my man. ;)

Hehehe

(I honestly don't really like him much either, but he is eons better than Tony Romo)
