I have used crezedlist and craigshelper... I first started using craigshelper when I was searching for a Triumph TR-3 resto candidate. Since they are rare and I was willing to travel to buy one, I was happy to find that craigshelper allowed wildcards, search of multiple cities, exclusion words etc.
what I don't get is this: why doesn't craigslist itself allow this kind of search? Seems like a pretty significant failing on their end.

the craigslist people actually go out of their way to keep people from getting too much utility out of the damn thing.
neat tip on craigshelper: use the 'n' key to quickly scroll through cities.
