Schwinn Manta- Ray, a classic bicycle?
My son just sent me a pic of a bike he got at a thrift store. I suspect it's worth more than the $40 he spent for it. Anyone have any idea?

I've seen them at swap meets for $300 to $400 and that may be low! Nice buy.

Hey that's my old bike!!!
Was lifted outside of Woolworth in Baldwin, NY .... Still a mystery how they too my and my friends bikes.. they were locked with chains... I had that exact bike!!

yes...do your diligence before diassembling, breaking or painting any part of that thing. working originals are worth bucks.
Classic BMX is worth more. a buddy has a LIME haro master with all the right components...it's worth like 2500 bucks. sjd

I had one of those. I was always Jealous of the kids that had the "Orange Crate"
It is nice to reminisce about these old bikes, but truthfully, they weighed a ton, put you in a terrible biking position, and handled aweful. But they sure looked cool.
