In Florida your home is safe but your income is not, you can have a lien put on it.

when we sued our builder who wrecked our home..there was that preconcieved notion of corparate protection...my lawyer went thru that in 2 seconds. did not help as he went bust and let his house get foreclosed on for taxes...everyone lost on that

The corporate shield once existed, but in case after case attorneys have found ways to pierce that veil. There are still ways to use corporations to your advantage, but it's only economical for high rollers, IMO. Us average folks just keep KY on hand because we know we're going to get screwed.
