A Flip-Flop and a Paddy Wagon

McCain is now waffling on his commitment to oppose all new taxes. I know he reiterated that commitment as lately as July 7 but his position on this and so many other issues is.........let's call it "dynamic."

And in other news, Senator Ted Stevens (40 years of world class porkbarrelling in the Senate) will be headed for court, and perhaps jail. He is running for re-election this year. Oh yeah, he's a Republican.

That does it. I'm voting for Obama, since I have no doubt at all that he'll raise my taxes.

Stevens could use a few cellmates from both sides of the aisle..

.

Supe, I'm no McCain fan, but to hammer him on waffling when he's running against the waffle king himself is just silly. Obama can't be wrong on any given issue because he's espoused every position imaginable. Obama's opinions circle the issues faster than a hummingbird on speed.

It's hard to imagine that these two guys are the best we can do. Well, at least we won't have another four years of George (Edited - reference to female genitalia removed, Z-man) in the White House.

The transformation is complete.

Silly......perhaps. But relevant, I would say. I have to agree, or at least I certainly do not disagree, that Obama's election platform is.......fluid. But when I look at the issues on which McCain has waffled over the past several years, I'm not sure Obama's position at the top of that podium is secure.

It is hard for McCain since Obama owns both sides of every issue.
