Anyone do iphone development?

Curious about developing apps for iphones.

Does the develop environment need to be all Mac based?

Can Mac/iphone apps consume web services served up off a Microsoft .net back end as long as its all xml travelling back and forth?

What languages are used to develop apps for iphone?

Yes, I will be googling like mad looking for answers.

Yes, at the moment Mac only for the development kit. I've read were the XML handling in the SDK is a bit odd, but it should work, though I've not tried this.

I'm very new at this, never done Objective C or Mac programing, coming over from Windows mobile apps.

I've been thinking along the same lines. Maybe we can all collaborate on something.

I've been brainstorming for apps...maybe even Porsche related ones.

(PET on iPhone perhaps?)

Arg....must secure myself a Mac. Wife might be giving up her Powerbook sooner than she thinks.
