There was a different electric 914 on CNN that I posted about a week or so ago. My stepdad wants to convert his '63 Corvair to electric. Should be a fun project!

Make magazine just had and an article on a VW bug converted to 'letric... looked cool, but not enough HP to do to a 356 (35-40hp) and max range was "only" 70 miles. Since my 356 gets 32mpg with its big ol' weber 44s, I don't see an advantage there...
