In Texas, I do not notice any slow response time on the forums, but I am on very early before the work day starts usually. Thanks for making this resourse available. Without the forums I would not have had a clue as to how to build the RSR-look in Viper green that I just finished and had a successful weekend on the track.

Just to let you know when I do searches it kicks me out of log in mode |
Way to go Wayne....
Making it easier for us to find what we need. You would almost think you wanted us to buy more stuff....no..wait....I see it now...it's all a plot! Grats....and keep up the good work. Bob |
The new server, for me at least, makes the forums more responsive when just browsing and the search appears faster as well.
|
It's 3pm here so morning there, seems faster but will see what it's like later. Good work whatever happens Wayne.
|
Wayne,
thanks for the new server. Will try to see if it makes a difference. AND MOST OF ALL thanks for this great site. What would we do without you?!! _________ Dick Lague 1973 RS spec 911 1963 VW Bus 2001 Saab Aero |
Wayne,
Posting in from Iraq here - the forum has picked up in speed (over sat conncetion so it was noticeable) I use the heck out of the search feature, its working just fine for me. Thanks for keeping the forum up - its a resource to no end, |
So far running well. Over the last few months I was definitely getting tired of waiting for screens to open up!
|
I understand nothing about this except that Wayne is spending cash on my addiction and for this I am grateful.
Regards, Scott |
Thanks Wayne! It has been said before in this forum, speed cost money.
|
You're the MAN!!!!!!!
We all really appreciate your support to the P-car nuts. |

I had a problem with the search results page repeatedly reloading until I hit the 'stop' button on IE6. Never happened before - related?
|
It does seem faster today - thanks! This site's been painfully slow as of late. I usually chalk it up to crappy wireless, but even on my office computer (which is a wired connection) it's been hanging a lot.
edit: the slowness seemed to be at its worst when my hands were covered in grease, trying to find answers to problems! :D |
In the past i have had huge delays in pages loading here at PP. Hopefully this change fixes that. :)
|
I have used firefox exclusively for about 3 years now.
|
Good advice Wayne. FF is the way to go. Response seems improved. Thanks.
|
Yep, way faster today than is usually the case.
|
what are the new server specs?
sorry, tech geek here.... |
I took a hiatus for a while and have definitely noticed that the forums are moving faster.
Never wanted to complain about the speed before since hosting does cost money and this is a "free" service. So, Thank you! |
Just had a problem with the search feature. I searched under my name for a post I created earlier today and it did not come up. I searched under the thread starters name and it came up, but the time of the last post was 3 am yesterday, when in actuality it was earlier this afternoon. Just thought it was a little strange and worth reporting.
|
Very, very nice. Thanks for being an enabler of my addiction. Seriously, I need to put in an order for a few things.
|
Significant, effective improvement.
Thanks, Wayne! |
Thank you Wayne, for continuing to impede my productivity.:p
|
Fasterfox is not compatible with 3.01 Firefox. Anyone figured this out yet?
meant to start a new topic, any ideas? |
Wayne
I have noticed that the page sometimes hangs when clicking the link in an email post alert. Using IE 7 so it usually tries to open in a new tab in an open browser. I assume this would be search related in some way? It's been happening for 2 or 3 weeks. Ian |
