If I were forced to ride across Canada on Greyhound I can't say I might not do the same thing.

Then again, if I were forced to endure living in Canada in general I can't say I might not do the same thing. :p

That's pretty f-ed up. I once considered riding Greyhound to pick up a car, until I posed the question on several forums. Basically, I was unanimously told that if I wanted to meet drug dealers and underage prostitutes, that Greyhound was for me. Needless to say I took a plane, no need for underage hookers here.;)

Maybe the guy was snoring....

"Assault knives" should be illegal. Won't someone please think of the children?

A most un-friendly neighbor to the North.

nostatic 07-31-2008 08:57 AM

wait, can we get back to the underage prostitutes?

I love this understatement:

"Authorities declined to provide other details of what they described as a "major incident.""

We don't keep knives in our house.

Biodegradable sporks work just fine, thank you.

When I was in high school I rode a greyhound bus from Fla. to NJ. It was without a doubt the most dreadful experience of my life. I finally got off the bus at a rest stop in VA and hitchhiked the rest of the way home rather than endure another moment on that awful bus. I can see someone with a few mental shortcomings being pushed over the edge on one of those busses.

onewhippedpuppy 07-31-2008 09:08 AM

Death by spork doesn't have the same ring to it.

Porsche-O-Phile 07-31-2008 09:16 AM

Back in college I had to ride Greyhound once for about 5-6 hours to get to a train station. Not fun. Only made tolerable by virtue of a walkman and a half a bottle of vodka.

Bizarre. But in a sort of strangely attractive way.

URY914 07-31-2008 09:30 AM

It must have taken the RCMP forever to get there by horse.

nostatic 07-31-2008 09:30 AM

there's a screenplay there. I'm thinking Coen Brothers...

Holy moly! Bash a guy if you have to, but decapitated? Wife & I rode the Greyhound down to Boise, ID once to pick up a Range Rover- awful ride down, lap of luxury back home. I almost didn't take the wife- Greyhound buses are nasty!

m21sniper 07-31-2008 09:33 AM

And nobody in a full bus of people helped to try and stop him from repeatedly stabbing the victim huh?

I'm sure some of them videotaped this so they could put it up on YouTube.

I took buses in the 70's a few times while in the USMC. Unbelievable, every time I went to the men's rooom in the terminal, any terminal, some guy always want to show me his "thing".
