cool pics of scale model and real thing

my son is still working with Steve Saleen and they recently acquired a couple of S7-R LeMans class winners. EWA had the scale model:
what do you think? pretty cool huh?

(look for it at the next Leguna Seca ALMS)

Does your son work for his new company SMS or is it the Saleen Corporation? Kind of a dumb question considering the photo is of an S7R, just curious if SMS is off the ground.

Yes, he left Saleen with Steve and joined him at SMS.
They are well-off-the-ground with a SMS Challenger, Mustang crate motor and a 25 yr. anniversary model Mustang.

Saleen Inc. , as we used to know it, is now Detroit based and has nothing to do with the S7.

Didn't Saleen used to be out in Orange County, CA? So they moved to Detroit? What happened to Saleen in SoCal?

Cool model, BTW. Your son does very nice work. The real car isn't half-bad either.

correct. Saleen, Inc. was in Irvine. The remains of that company are now in the 'Saleen" facility where the Ford GT was assembled, outside of Detroit.
That building has been doing a bunch of contract work for Ford via the new Saleen owners (Handcock Group), like building Ford deuce highboys, and still pumping out a limited number of Saleen Mustangs.
(the model was purchased, as is, from EWA)

I was at a DE once and the guy who had bought the old racecar had the model as well.
