Auction guys, is the buyers premium taxable?
That's pretty much it, I won an auction on some wheels for my truck and am wondering if the 3% buyers premium is taxable. I doubt it, but who knows.

Varies. Most sales/auctions I attend are NO SALES TAX period.
But I have been to some where they state they are collecting state sales tax unless you have a sales tax number (business). It should have been noted in the sale bill/flyer.

It wasn't noted but I called this morning and yes it is part of the taxable total. From what I've found every state is different.
