Is "Pimpin' Large" making a comeback?
The neighboring business/warehouse owner has been accumulating numerous 70's/early 80's "land yachts" over the last year. 2 & 4-door Caddy's, Oldsmobiles, Buicks, etc. (he has a couple of cool early 70's Riviera's). There are quite a few more cars than you see here, but the theme is the same. None of the cars are pristine. All need major work.
Is he on the cusp of the next hip trend? Will he be selling these for $$$ to displaced RUBS? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...pin_Large1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...pin_Large2.jpg |
In Seattle you'd never think that trend went away....
I actually would like to have an 80's Coupe DeVille on 13x7" reverse gold D's. What the hell. |
maybe he thinks there will be a market for em, now many mortgages foreclose...
it's hard to live in yer car if it's the size of a shoebox |

This is nothing new. Seen a rap video recently? Old American iron on huge chrome rims is all the rage. We even have some around Wichita. They look like some sort of freakish ghetto monster truck.

It's because they've now broke that magical "$2000" barrier. Your average kid can buy a full boat Caddie, and set it up for what he gets from a summer working.
