The economy is fine and everything is going well.

Easy...sail to Cuba and pick her up. You might have to take her (extended) family as well.

There ain't no marinas in Leucadia. Where do you dock it? Oceanside or San Diego?

JavaBrewer 08-02-2008 08:15 PM

When I'm in the dumps I buy some new plush bath towels.

It's up in Oxnard...should be down here in 2 weeks. It'll be parked at The Coral in Ensenada...at least thru Dec.

take a slip in Marina Del Rey for a season and you'll turn into a whore master.
Try to get close to large sailboat racers. Their crews are usually very experienced.

Here's what you do: Bring the boat on down South, park it on one of the lakes (if you can find one that's relatively moist) and advertise a cooler full of Nat Lite. Ta-DA! Boat full of women. You want teeth , that'll cost extra, but you just said women . . .

Sapporo Guy 08-02-2008 08:49 PM

hmmm,

You could post for skimply clad bikini girls for photo shoot of them cleaning your yacht.
Make sure to have cameras ready and a line telling the girls that they are testing for some famous photographer.
If they complain about pay just say that they are going to get a chance to go National so what is the problem ? :D

free cleaning and free pictures ;)

I bought it cuz my wife is going thru breast cancer, so no more track weekends for this year at least. This way she'll have a little change of scenery...me too...I'm probably going to hell for what I'm thinking;)

Bummer. Here's to a speedy/full recovery.

P.S. - Most/all married guys are thinking the same...

nostatic 08-03-2008 09:10 AM

wow Jim, really sorry to hear that. My thoughts go out to her and you.

So you're not going to be up at Laguna? I'm planning to ride my bike up there to watch the races.

When you get to hell, look me up :p

lowyder993s 08-03-2008 09:22 AM

no...basically sitting out the whole season. I told the teammates if they could fill the transporter, I'd drive it up there...I MISS YOU GUYS!!! So...come February, I should be good to go. So many hobbies, so little time.

nostatic 08-03-2008 09:32 AM

well, you're not missing me as I sold my car in Feb and haven't been to an event this season either - so I'm missing it too. But I'll be back in a few years...but I'll likely go instruct in Nov.

Have fun on the boat. I was up at Big Bear last week with my son and we rented a couple different boats. Certainly a change of scenery :)

Sorry to hear that, when my Grandmother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, I had just bought new gear for the season, but she worried about me racing (she never even came to one of my bicycle races) and didn't want to worry about me getting hurt. I also took her to all of her treatments & shopping. I can always buy new gear, but I couldn't replace the time with my Grandmother.

+1000
The ONLY reason I'm in the spot I'm in is because of her. She's the one who didn't raise a siht fit about me being at the track, fishing, hunting, basically being w/ the guys. So now it's my time to pay it back w/ interest. Fortunately, the prognosis is excellent...chemo is an insurance policy, and shortly she'll be back to her old self. Meanwhile, with the wigs...I have my choice of wimminz;) As Monty Python sez...Gotta always look on the bright side of life:D
