Replaced my ipod touch today
Well, actually my daughters. She upgraded on apples website to the newest version and it bricked her ipod like it was Walt Disney. I guess this is a common occurrence since apple has a bulletin on how to "fix" it. Get this. The want you to delete your itunes and reinstall it, while reinstalling the latest operating software (which we have). To get around this, I installed itune in a laptop and tried resetting it buy it is still dead. Going on apples website, you can spend $33shipping and handling to have them fix it since it is only 6 months old. I called Sam's club where I purchased it and convinced them that it needed replaced even though they were not responsible after 30 days. They did it no problem. I also have a 3 year replacement warranty on it so if it does it ever again (which it will), I just bring it back and they will give me an identical replacement or what ever is out there at the time. I generally shun warranties, but if you buy an ipod at a place like Sam's or Costco, it is a no brainer. It cost $42 for a 3 year extension.
