DAILY, new evidence emerges to demonstrate that Climate Minister Penny Wong is wrong.

The latest blow to the Government’s apocalyptic prophet is news from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute that there is more ice than normal in the Arctic waters north of the Svalbard archipelago.

According to the Barents Observer there are open areas in this area in most years during July - but this year the area is covered by ice.

your post seems a bit sarcastic, not criticizing just observing. that said, we still have snow on our mountains. i have never seen that in august and i have lived here for over 20 years. it is interesting that the 'scientists' use data that is only 60 years old to 'prove' the theory of warming. then they use ice cores, etc., to support their claims. its not good science to have an agenda and look only for supporting evidence, meanwhile ignoring anything that may detract.

exactly. it is a means for social engineering. just look at all the behaviors that have become 'bad'.

does anyone remember when this was first brought up? right after the fall of russia. we needed a new bogeyman and this became the hot one.

what i find truly interesting is how so many, otherwise intelligent, people ran with it. there was no questioning of authority, no debate, just straight up lock-stepping.

Couple of points, they concentrate on the supporting evidence and ignore the detracting evidence because the supporting evidence pays much better.

And Blue sky is right, it's not climate change. Any change in the weather no matter how small is now contributed to man's evil use of fuel.
If it gets warmer, it's our fault.
If it gets colder, it's our fault.
if the climate stays exactly the same, it's our fault because our actions are interfering with the natural climate cycles. And people are eating it up.

If it can be proved that human activity is the cause of climate change ... that would be the most significant finding ever made by mankind. Once it is proved, it is relatively easy to go to the next logical step - climate control. If we can cause the climate to cool or warm by adding certain measured amounts of carbon dioxide, etc., and change it back by altering our behavior then we can eventually design systems to control the climate precisely.

Here in Michigan for instance, where the economy has been in the tank for 6 years, we could hire a government-certified Climate Designer to boost tourism by giving us a tropical climate for a few years. The possibilities are endless.

what caused the 'global warming' during medieval times? certainly not emissions from vehicles or industry. we've been in a cooling cycle ever since then.

Just back from the edges of the some of the northern glacier ice and despite the claim from the issue of Tennessee equine miscegenation, it has definitely receded and is melting fast. The locals are worried as they depend on their glaciers for hydropower and drinking water sources.

The middle ages ended and the modern era began when people started checking on reality for themselves (observations and experiments) and not just believing what was written. Do you still believe that vermin directly arises (spontaneous creation) from decaying plant and animal matter? That was once written down and widely believed.

I especially loath those in the sciences who push a (cherry picked) single data point as a trend.
